Multi-Compartment Tanks

Paul Mueller Company's highly customizable multi-compartment tanks are designed with ice cream mix and other similar products in mind. The line of tanks has models with either hinged cover or a solid top with a manway.

What makes our multi-compartment tanks truly special is that adjacent compartments can be used with extreme temperature variations without affecting the other compartments. One and a half inch rigid insulation on each side of each compartments allows multiple tanks in a minimum amount of space.

As with all of our food and dairy products, Mueller multi-compartment tanks come with a polished #4 finish that meets 3A requirements as well as CIP technology that makes cleaning your tank convenient.

Vessels

Mueller Chemical and Industrial Equipment manufactures storage vessels for a wide variety of industries including food, dairy, chemical, pharmaceutical, and many more. We have the experience to design and fabricate a custom vessel that meets the unique storage and holding needs of your product. This experience designing and building stainless steel tanks since the 1940s ensures that you will receive a quality piece of lasting, American craftsmanship.

Processing fluids under high pressure and in corrosive environments is a job you can't trust to just any equipment.

Components

Horizontal Agitator Mixers

Paul Mueller Company's patented, USDA-accepted, horizontal agitator is designed for sanitary applications including a cleaned in place (CIP) feature. The agitator and seal assembly do not require removal from the tank for cleaning as is required for other horizontal agitators currently available. The newly designed agitator is suitable for use in plants that are accepted for the USDA Dairy Grading Branch Survey Program.

The design is also capable of fully separating all sealing surfaces for periodic inspection without the need to remove the agitator shaft. For cleaning, simply open the manway door, install the CIP door and attach assembly, turn on the agitator, and start your CIP cycle. There is no need to loosen or remove the shaft, thus eliminating the confined space entry procedure.

Retrofit Option
Retrofit for patented, USDA-accepted, 3A designed, fully CIP-able horizontal agitator is also available for field installation.

Heat Transfer Products

  • Mueller Temp-Plate® heat transfer surface provides precise, consistent control capability with minimum pressure drop. Its design provides extremely efficient heat transfer performance more economically than competitive types of heat transfer surface. Spot welded and inflated channels induce the fluid turbulence necessary to attain high heat transfer coefficients. Lower flow rates are necessary to accomplish high velocities of heating or cooling heads.

  • Mueller half-pipe coil heat transfer surface handles large volumes of flow and is suited for high-pressure applications as well as low-pressure drop requirements. It is ideal for cyclic heat transfer conditions in which heating and cooling cycles occur several times a day as it is very resistant to stress corrosion cracking. Half-pipe coil is used for heating or cooling with steam, hot oil, water, glycol, ammonia, and refrigerants. ASME code stamping is available.

  • Our dimpled heat transfer surface is ideally suited for applications involving high pressure and temperature extremes. It can be routinely fabricated in an almost unlimited number of shapes, sizes, and materials to fit any vessel design. Styles are available for use with almost any type of refrigerant or heating media.
